That's exactly where the Eightballers want to be.

HSC-8 "Eightballers" is a Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron flying the MH-60S Seahawk out of NAS North Island, San Diego, California. Attached to Carrier Air Wing 11 and deploying aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt, HSC-8 provides vertical lift, anti-surface warfare, combat search and rescue, special operations support, and logistics capabilities to the carrier strike group. The squadron traces its lineage to HS-8, originally established on June 1, 1956, and has accumulated an extraordinary operational history — from performing more than 30 combat search and rescue missions over North Vietnam, to supporting President Nixon, to participating in Apollo 6 crew recovery, to deploying in response to the Iranian hostage crisis and Desert Storm. Redesignated HSC-8 in 2007, the Eightballers accomplished the first-ever MH-60S cruiser/destroyer detachment and helped capture fifteen suspected pirates. This throwback patch pays tribute to the Eightballers' storied past.

Perfect For: HSC-8 Eightballers aircrew and maintainers, MH-60S Seahawk community, NAS North Island squadrons, CVW-11 veterans, and anyone who knows that behind every carrier strike group is a helicopter squadron doing the dirty work.

HSC-8 — welcome to the show, indeed.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0826/7782/5761/files/official-hsc-8-eightballers-throwback-shoulder-patch_1.jpg?v=1793013370
